Our School Life

Wonderful Stories

Excursions for the children from K.G to Class XII were arranged to different venues in the month of January,2013. The Senior School students were taken to the Bandel Church, Hansheswari temple and Diamond Harbour ,the Middle School students were taken to the Science City. The Primary School students were not to be left behind as they made their way to the Nicco Park. The spirits were high as they reached the spots. They rolled, jumped and played without care. Excursions and picnics gave the children the opportunity to come out of their cocoons, to share and to gel well with each other and their teachers.

Salt Lake Point School CD- 249 celebrated their Annual Concert for both junior & Senior School on 16th and 17th January, 2016 and also celebrated the 40 years of the school’s journey from its inception at the Bharatiyam Cultural Multiplex (EZCC). The programme began with the Principal’s address welcoming all the eminent guests and dignitaries followed by the Saraswati Vandana- an invocation for wisdom and consciousness. The junior school concert featured a medley of songs and rhymes and dance performed by the little ones from KG section to class II. The Hindi drama “Akbar- Birbal”,The English drama “Snow White”- A Journey through the wonderland’, and the Bengali drama ‘Bon Jodi Na Thakto’ performed by the students from cl III to VI enthralled the audience. The Senior school brought with them the Hindi drama ‘ Daarnveer Karn’, the Bengali drama ‘Atho Kolkata Brittanto’ and the English drama ‘Temple of the Living God’ based on ‘The Bishops Candlesticks’ by Norman Mckinnel . The wonderful music, well designed costume and props were very impressive. The budding actors seemed to have got to the skin of the characters. The main attractions of the Concert were the two dance dramas ‘Madhurashtakam’ and the ‘Hyms of Creation’ . The melodious choir and the wonderful dance performance earned high accolades from all. The Concert was a delightful treat for the eye. It was truly amazing to see a cast of five hundred students perform to perfection.
